Colophon

The colophon is the place where you write about the technical aspects of your creation. If it were a book, you'd talk about the typeface in which it was set, the printing process, the binding, the cover, etc.

For a blog, well, the expectations may be much the same, but the details can be very different. Take the typeface, for example. On a web page, the best a designer can do is suggest to the user what typeface (font) should be used to display the text on the page. What actually is presented is mostly uncontrollable.

Theme

This current theme is based on a theme called White, by Easternwest and Stephen Reinhardt. I am slowly adapting it to my use, but the overall design is clearly theirs. An excellent place to start.

Typeface

My cousin Mark will be over the moon to realize that he has been instrumental in my changing the default font of the theme from Arial to Helvetica. Who knew you had to specify font-family for input fields, that it didn't just cascade from the body? Well, now we all do.

Icons

The blog uses a few icons, most notably the icons representing comments on a post. These are lightly modified from the Silk icons provided free by Mark James on his site, famfamfam.
