Obama pulled in $25 million on the last day of the month in June. In one day. That’s more than McCain raised ($22 million) in the entire month. This was part of his $52 million month, with an average donation of $68. I’m proud to say that the wife and I were part of that (to the measly tune of $100 ea.).

I wouldn’t call $100 measly at all. Heck, I think that’s about 2x the average donation, isn’t it? Small donations are the new model, the one which democratizes the process. So as I see it you’re way ahead.

I’m inspired. I like the small amount model too

My wife, who has never seen a charity for abused animals that we can’t fund refused my idea of donating to Obama. She is flirting with McCain. I was kind of softening my view of him today as McCain did a photo op holding hands with the Dali Lama in the news today. I want to put up an Obama sign in the yard but it might mean also having a McCain or Barr sign too. So I said–I’m getting a bumper stick for my car. Does Obama take paypal? That is where I have all my mad money from selling french fries that look like jesus or something. Usually old junk.

Speaking of which, we did just give to the local Humane Society shelter. The boy’s “Give” column in his piggy bank was filling up, so we took it to the bank to count, then to the shelter. He gave them $52! And got a nice thank you and a frisbee.
