The Intarwebs is a great tool for finding people. I used to work for the American Collectors Association (and no, they don’t collect stamps), so I should know. There are a lot of people from way back when who I am curious about. Friends from 1st grade, elementary school, high school, even after college. with whom it would be fun to reconnect.

Sure, I could stalk them, but I’m lazy. So instead, I’m putting their names on a web page, for them to find when they do a little egosurfing. Because, come on, who hasn’t indulged in a little egosurfing?

Here’s the page.

Are you sure that’s not “Polisky?”

Yes, it would be that Debbie Polisky, but not that Mark McGrath. Debbie was a friend from when I was seven years old, so it would be fairly high on the creep-o-meter if I just dashed off an email pointing out that I had been searching for her. (That’s what friends are for, thanks Mark!)

No, the point of the list is that they can find me, and if they want to, get in touch so we can reminisce about the one birthday party we both might not remember from thirty years ago.

Mark McGrath is a good friend from junior high, and I know he’s still in Europe. He married a French girl and lives in France now, I think, he’s just fallen off the face of the earth the last couple of years. Given the other Mark McGrath, he might not do much egosurfing.
