Free child safety kit: how can you not?

More gems from the stack of stuff rescued from the basement: a child ID card for my oldest son, from a school picture taken two years ago. Got me hunting around on the Internet for info and resources, and I found this Duracell-sponsored child safety site with info, pdfs, and a "take a recent picture of your kid" email reminder service. Essentially, you should have a recent, head and shoulders mugshot of each of your kids, available in a digital form (on CD), and at hand. We didn't, but we will by tomorrow. Do you have one?

A reminder to take a picture of my kid? LOL!!!

Point taken. Still, I got headshots of the kids yesterday, and today I have a CD, prints, and a little paper with their vital stats, all ready to go. Do still need to measure their height and weight.

I don't mean to make light of the entire endeavor. It's a good one, for sure. I should get busy on this stuff, too. I'll start by trying to make it clear to Ava that our Java House perks number is actually our phone number, too....

She knows your Java House Perks number? How cute. The boy is getting telephone privs this year, as a result of turning five. It'll be a whole new world for him.

She also knows "skinny decaf latte, one pump of vanilla." I dunno if "cute" is the word I'd use. ;)
