Remember that Baby Talk cover with the breast?
Remember the magazine that dared to show a nursing baby on its cover? It got a bunch of prudish people up in arms when it came out in July of 2006. Well, the cover was a finalist for Best Service Cover of 2007 by the American Society of Magazine Editors. It would not have been given any award consideration at all if it hadn't been made such a controversy.
Gosh, I don't recall this controversy, though it seems improbable that it wouldn't have come into my consciousness at some point. Guess I'm just forgetting. And, are we sure that's a breast? Maybe it's just a pink balloon?
It does seem that the baby and the boob have both been airbrushed, perhaps in an effort to make the image less objectionable? I dunno.
Such a cute, fat baby though! I miss my fat babies. The one is all growed up, and the other was never that fat to begin with, little pipsqueak.
