It was all set up for a Doug Flutie moment, with 17 seconds for two hail mary passes to the end zone. All credit to Mizzou for blitzing on that play, instead of sending the expected ten d-backs covering the long pass. The safety was the best result they could have hoped for.

The local paper is all hotted up about the game being in KC instead of Lawrence, wondering if the game might have turned out differently were it really a home game (as it was scheduled to be), and calling the administration a bunch of money-grubbing KC-kiss ups. Or something not quite so colorful.

I don't know what to tell you about NNW. Best of luck.

I only saw the fourth quarter, which was pretty good. I was rooting for Kansas, but Mizzou is a pretty good story this year too. It's nice to see some different teams doing well. Hopefully Iowa will find some mojo again in the offseason.

Also the space bar consistently doesn't work on your site in NetNewsWire. Weird.
