&lt;p&gt;Do I think W never flips the bird or says &quot;shit&quot; or makes fart jokes when he&#039;s hanging out at the ranch?  Do I think every president we&#039;ve ever had hasn&#039;t engaged in some form of base behavior at one time or another -- inside or outside of office?  No.  But, sheesh, have the class (or at least sense) to keep it behind closed doors.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;It may also be worth noting that crude behavior from elected officials isn&#039;t unique to the U.S.  I&#039;m thinking of France and Italy off the top of my head.&lt;/p&gt;
